PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CLUB
CHAIRMAN LOOKS TO THE FUTURE
One of the longest serving Chairman in non-league football, Malcolm Higton of BURNHAM FOOTBALL CLUB, has started the rundown to vacating that role he has successfully filled for the last 27 years. He was a player there since 1964, followed by a 2 year stint as reserve team Manager and 6 years Manager of the first team.

Now in his sixties, Higton is looking to find not only a replacement from key figures in the local business community but also others to assume key board roles to take the club onwards and upwards now that their new superb £2million facility is up and running.

Higton, justly proud of their new stand and the modern facilities, wants to move quietly into the background as newer fresher minds can see more opportunity to market the clubs’ much envied letting suites, currently used for conferences, functions and similar.

‘Without question our facilities,’ Higton states, ‘ are the best by a long way in our British Gas Business Football League, they have progressed well since the £2million complex was completed just over 2 years ago but much more of the potential needs to be unlocked from what is a fine asset to the football community of the area'.

That’s why we need more dedicated Board members and helpers to take our Club forward.’

Contact with Malcolm can be made through Club on 01628 668654
